1969 Apollo 11 Lunar Module Grumman Original Contractor's Model

1969 Apollo 11 Lunar Module Grumman Original Contractor's Model

Fans of space exploration will enjoy this Apollo Lunar Module Grumman Contractor's Model on Base. Manufactured for Grumman by Precise Models, Inc. prior to the Apollo 11 moon landing, it includes color logos of both Grumman and NASA with the text "Lunar Module." The "lunar" part does have some imperfections; the two-piece model is removable from the base, made of injection-molded plastic, and is approximately 6" tall and 10" across. It accurately separates into Ascent and Descent Stages and has numerous tiny projecting parts. Columbia was the designated name for the mission, and there seem to be a couple of thruster nozzles missing, as well as one of the satellite dishes. The piece still displays beautifully in is overall in EX condition.
