1969 Seattle Pilots Expansion Draft Prospectus in Original Pilots Binder & Sick's Stadium Remodeling (2)
Some great insight is included in this binder pertaining to the lone season of baseball's Seattle Pilots. While the team played in Seattle in 1969 before departing for Milwaukee to become the Brewers, much of this material is from 1968 and shows the preparation for the start of the fledgling franchise. The Pilots' logo is imprinted on the binder cover and contained within is a scouts and employees directory, local media releases, blank MLB contracts and a detailed timeline of the period of September through December of '68, noting details such as scheduling for the following year. Originating from former team exec Lewis Matlin, this is a one-of-a-kind glimpse into baseball history.
