1970 Bobby Orr: The Canadian Game Advertising Display
Only one we have ever seen, for a Canadian TV show on September 30th, 1970. Reads, "Bobby Orr: The Canadian Game. The story of Bobby Orr - hockey's hottest star - and how he and the Boston Bruins won the Stanley Cup. 8 PM/Wed Sept.30." In his fourth NHL season at only 21 years old, Orr led Boston to defeat the St. Louis Blues 4-0 in games to win the Stanley Cup. Orr was a complete innovator as the defenseman rushed up ice more than any other back-liner had previously dared. Orr scored 120 points, with 33 goals and he won the Hart, Norris, Ross, and Smythe Trophies. Display shows photo of Orr starting a rush from his own end. A few small spots and a tack hole at top center, otherwise appears EX. Framed at 11x28".
