1971 San Francisco Peace Marches Protesting Vietnam (21 photos plus two original fliers)
Marvelous collection of images from two protest marches in April and May of 1971 in San Francisco. Best of all are two oversized images of the April march with tens of thousands of protestors gathered in the park. It is mind boggling the number of people in attendance, a perfect analogy of the peace movement where millions of Americans were against an unjust War. There are also several individual shots of the youths in battle with police. There are also two actual wire photos (early lasers) the rest are original Examiner prints (many oversized all rare). Some are stamped on the versos by the Examiner photographer’s “Musura“ & “Mabala.” Many are oversized 8x12“. Overall EX-MT. Plus, the collection comes with two original paper fliers advertising the April 24th march also from the SFX Archive (EX).
