Splendid collection of images from this May 12, 1972 protest march in San Francisco. Brilliant images of the counter culture propelled by the Berkeley ideal. Includes: a few of a policeman’s motorcycle on fire, tear gas carnage, night stick to a youth’s face, police on horseback (chilling), “Stop the War” signage with fist raised, protesters’ wearing gas masks holding “Negotiate Vietnam” pin and many more. All are original Examiner prints (rare) plus four standard front caption wire photos (early lasers). All back stamped and many are oversized 8x12“ (beauties!). Many superb LARGE prints.
