1972 Bobby Orr Official NHL Goal Puck
Bobby Orr set the bar for offensive defenseman in the NHL. His 260 goals, including 46 in a single season have not been matched by many. During the early 1970's the NHL instituted a program whereby the pucks used to score each and every goal in NHL play were collected, labeled and marketed to the public. This Converse NY Islanders game puck is labeled "Boston Bruins, Bobby Orr, 11/18/72". Imagine…this puck actually traveled from the blade of Bobby's stick and found its way into the twine at the back of the net in Boston Garden. The accompanying NHL Certificate lists additional information including the assist credits. From the personal collection of long-time Bruins trainer John "Frosty" Forristall.
