1972 Gil Hodges Game Worn Cap & Pants
From the locker of the HOF'er and former Brooklyn Dodger come these well-worn pieces from Hodges' days at Shea. Cap has classic Mets logo "NY" on peak and number "14" in marker under visor. "New Era" tagging in headband. Pants are road grey, with "14 26 72" strip tag in waistband. "Wilson [size] 38" tagging just below. Heavy team repairs and other numbers written in marker in waistband suggest that these were passed down to the minors after Hodges wore them.
