1975 Bob Kelly Philadelphia Flyers Stanley Cup Finals Game 6 Used Stick

1975 Bob Kelly Philadelphia Flyers Stanley Cup Finals Game 6 Used Stick

Tremendous Sher-Wood stick used by Bob Kelly in the Philadelphia Flyers' series-clinching Game 6 victory in the 1975 Stanley Cup Finals. When the Flyers closed out the series with a 2-0 win over the Sabres in Buffalo, they dropped their sticks to celebrate and a Sabres employee was quick-witted enough to pick up those sticks and save them. This is one of those sticks and a significant one, as Kelly's goal 11 seconds into the third period broke a scoreless tie and proved to be all Philly would need to secure their second Cup in as many seasons. Preserved in perfect game used form, Sher-Wood stick has "9 KELLY" stamped on the shaft-original tape on the blade and butt end as well as a December 1974 date stamp down by the blade indicating when it was made. Significant item from the last time to date that the Cup resided in the City of Brotherly Love.
