1976 Montreal Canadiens Stanley Cup Championship Ring

1976 Montreal Canadiens Stanley Cup Championship Ring

With their 4-0 defeat of the Philadelphia Flyers for the Stanley Cup, the Canadiens once again established themselves as the team to beat. Dynastic claims were increasingly rampant as the Canadiens continued to accumulate Stanley Cups, ultimately winning four in a row. This outstanding 1976 Championship sample ring is just like the one presented to Eddy Palchak, who served as Canadiens equipment manager for 31 years. The size 11 1/2, 10 karat ring features a lovely and very nicely cut 6mm cubic zirconite mounted on a blue stone cabochon, circled by “Club de Hockey / NHL / 1976 Canadiens”. The zirconite, nearly as hard and durable as a diamond, positively scintillates. A finely detailed image of the Stanley Cup appears on one shank, with the official NHL badge behind it. “Palchak” appears on the other shank, over the Canadien “C” in red enamel, above a puck with two crossed hockey sticks. Balfour and 10K stampings appear inside. Condition of this wonderful ring is NRMT.
