1977-78 Dennis Sobchuk WHA Cincinnati Stingers Game Worn Jersey

Dennis Sobchuk was chosen 89th overall by the Philadelphia Flyers in 1974 after amassing 416 points in three years with the Regina Pats of the WCJHL. Sobchuk opted to sign with the WHA's Phoenix Roadrunners and scored 32 goals as a rookie pro in 1974-75. Then came two and a half years with the Cincinnati Stingers and a personal best 44 goals in 1976-77. Black and yellow mesh uniform worn by Dennis Sobchuk during his last season with the Cincinnati Stingers of the World Hockey Association. Dennis played 23 games with the Stingers before his trade to the Edmonton Oilers in 1977-78. Tagged in the neck by Russel Athletic with two-tone tackle-twill "Sobchuk" across a mesh plate. Numbers and team cresting are screened. Size XL with alternate's "A" on the chest. Heavier game use with over fifty stick marks and slashes on the sleeves and body. Some blood staining on the front.
