1989-90 Mark Messier Edmonton Oilers Game Worn Jersey (Photo-matched)
Rare blue CCM mesh worn by Edmonton Oilers team captain Mark Messier during the first segment of the 1989-90 Stanley Cup Championship season. No point in rehashing Mark's stats... he's a monster! Let's cut right to the wear. Four distinctive Oilers-style team repairs can be found on this well-worn jersey with great interior pilling in the arms and around the fight strap. The front shows thirty-plus stick marks and slashes with more on the sleeves and back. Short mesh nameplate above the back numbers holds "Messier" and Mark has added a lengthy signature and with "94". Tagged in the neck by Maska with "54" in ballpoint. This jewel of a jersey was given by Mark to Oilers alumnist Dennis Sobchuk and comes with Sobchuk's Letter of Provenance.
