1978 Cincinnati Reds Tour of Japan Full Ticket with Envelope

1978 Cincinnati Reds Tour of Japan Full Ticket with Envelope

Two years after the Big Red Machine captured its second straight World Series championship, the Cincinnati Reds embarked on a goodwill tour of Japan, where sluggers such as Johnny Bench and Ken Griffey could square off against Sadaharu Oh and other Japanese stars. Here's a full, unused ticket from one of the games that has an image of Pete Rose and is in EX condition. Rose tied Willie Keeler's National League record by hitting in 44 consecutive games. The ticket is accompanied by a very rare ticket envelope that also has an image of Rose, as well as some writing on the envelope plus lots of creases and a few tears.
