1979-80 Charlie Simmer Los Angeles Kings Game Worn Jersey
Charlie Simmer scored points just by showing up to the rink bearing the Kings' ornate crown logo in 1979-80. He also scored plenty of points on the ice as a member of the Kings' Triple Crown line with Marcel Dionne and Dave Taylor. Forum purple and yellow with white ventilated poly has slash stains and other match marks, plus a stick puncture. Nobody checked Simmer out of a play for long. He scored a league-leading 56 goals in 64 games after coming up from the minors. He tied for the scoring lead the next season, and in 1981 each member of the Triple Crown line scored at least 100 points, an NHL first. The sweater has the tag of Goodman & Sons, a local sporting goods store. The gold lettering in SIMMER shows lots of use, lots of laundering. But it can't wash away the hoopla Simmer and his linemates created in hockey-blase L.A.
