The Miracle On Ice needs little introduction; it was one of the seminal moments in American sports history and one of the most remarkable upsets of all time. That a ragtag bunch of U.S. amateur hockey players could defeat the venerable stars of the Soviet Union, amid the ongoing Cold War and on American soil, remains a historic victory and a recipe not likely to be repeated in our lifetime. This sleek clock was awarded to team members and coaches, with Craig Patrick belonging to the latter group as Herb Brooks' right-hand man. The clock has a wood frame with glass and a clock face on front, and a pendulum that is engraved with the 1980 Lake Placid Olympic logo and reads "United States Olympic Hockey Team Gold Medal Winner". The award was made by Jostens, with their sticker appearing on the back along with a back-up battery.
