1980 Steve Furness Pittsburgh Steelers Game Worn Jersey (Photo-Matched)

1980 Steve Furness Pittsburgh Steelers Game Worn Jersey (Photo-Matched)

Amazing Steel Curtain-era artifact in this 1980 Pittsburgh Steelers jersey game worn by defensive lineman Steve Furness. Traditional black top has all-original numbers, with 64 on front, sleeves and back; name in yellow letters on plate is vintage, but at one time the jersey was reissued to Ed Nelson and the original name plate was removed and later replaced with a vintage, Steelers issued nameplate of "FURNESS," returning it to its original state. Steelers exclusive tag, Medalist Sand-Knit size 52, and 80 year tag are on the front tail. Terrific use is evident with many team repairs, not surprising considering his work in the trenches. Though perhaps not the household name that many of his contemporaries are, Furness was well known for his pass rushing abilities and was part of no less than four Super Bowl Championships in the Steel City. Jersey is photo-matched; please see the images posted with this description for matches. Comes with Steelers Cert.
