1980s Pelle Lindbergh Game Worn Catching Glove

1980s Pelle Lindbergh Game Worn Catching Glove

Hockey still mourns the tragic demise of Pelle Lindberg, the Swedish-born goalie who came into his own with the Flyers in the early '80s and became the first foreign goalie to win the coveted Vezina Trophy, before he lost his life in an automobile accident on November 10, 1985 at age 27. Lindbergh’s trusty Cooper GM21 catching glove kept the pucks out of the net at The Spectrum in Philly. Tagging on the cuff reads “Handmade in Canada by Cooper Custom Pro Shop”. Black “31” marked inside the cuff. Fantastic game use in the pocket. Obtained directly from former Flyers trainer Dave Settlemeyer according to the Letter of Authenticity from Spivack & Kraut. A great item to keep alive the memory of a real gamer.
