1981-82 Wayne Gretzky Edmonton Oilers Game Used & Vintage Autographed Stick

1981-82 Wayne Gretzky Edmonton Oilers Game Used & Vintage Autographed Stick

This wintry white and blood red Titan TPM stick was wielded by none other Wayne Gretzky, who signs on a blade that had black bull tape removed and replaced with white just for the signing; he signs, “To..., from Wayne Gretzky,” in black sharpie. Game-used in 198-82, a threshold year for the budding legend that saw him win the first of his seven straight scoring titles, as well as the beginning of his obliteration of Phil Esposito’s untouchable 76 goals. Original, stained tape wraps atop, with a hand-markered “99” appearing twice below upon shaft, and “W. Gretzky” stamped between. Also stamped “Oct 6 1981” on back bottom, and notated on heel with a “WG” in pencil.
