1985-86 Wayne Presley Chicago Black Hawks Game Used Jersey
An extraordinarily rare game used garment dating from the gritty defenseman’s earliest days in Chicago. In 1985, the promising youngster, then considered an offensive weapon, hit the proverbial rookie wall and was sent back down before reemerging in the NHL as a third line demon the next season. For that reason only a handful of jerseys from that year exist and by the looks of this battered specimen there may have been even fewer than that. Wayne’s white “home” sweater is sewn with the team’s logo on front and Chicago’s “C” logo on the shoulders. The back and sleeves both are adorned with his number “17”, while across the shoulders, sewn to a white nameplate, is “Presley” in black tackle twill. Stick marks, scuffs, and team repairs can be found in large quantities throughout the front and back with a concentration of the use seen around the hem/chest areas. Made by CCM with Maska tagging in the collar and embroidered with “Gunzo’s” and “CCM” logos on the tail of the reverse. Simply fantastic!
