1988-89 Mario Lemieux Pittsburgh Penguins Photo-Matched Game Worn Helmet

1988-89 Mario Lemieux Pittsburgh Penguins Photo-Matched Game Worn Helmet

A super helmet from Super Mario! Lemieux gave this black Cooper helmet a good workout during the Penguins’ road games and there’s definitely a season’s worth of use on it. In fact, we believe that it was worn for a few seasons during the 1980’s, and quite possibly his rookie campaign in 1985. Cooper stickers on both sides and the front. The Cooper sticker on the front has been placed over a Cooper logo that was painted over before the sticker, now present, was affixed. This helmet has seen some hard play and the right ear piece has been cracked and repaired and there are significant scratches and scuffs all over the shell. A white “66” sticker graces the back of this phenomenal piece of THE Penguin.
