1990-91 Paul Coffey Pittsburgh Penguins Game Worn Jersey

1990-91 Paul Coffey Pittsburgh Penguins Game Worn Jersey

Notes: This black, road Captain’s jersey was used during the Penguins’ first Stanley Cup winning season while Mario Lemieux was recovering from back surgery. “COFFEY” is sewn on a shoulder-length nameplate on the back with his number 77 below it and on both sleeves. Captain’s “C” on the left chest. A 1991 Stanley Cup Final patch was sewn on the right chest and was later removed. This jersey was not worn during the Stanley Cup Final as Coffey was not Captain during that portion of the season. The patch may have been added to this Captain’s jersey in case Mario Lemieux was not able to play. Maska tagging in the collar has a faded “77” written on it in marker. Also a very faint “48” (size) is written on the tag in pen. Fight strap intact inside.

Condition: Solid game use with stick marks, red paint transfer and pilling on the lower front. Light red stains on the crest. Both sleeves are peppered with stick marks and board burns. Very solid pilling inside both sleeves.
