1996 Magic Johnson LA Lakers Game Used "Comeback" Sneakers (Teammate LOA)

1996 Magic Johnson LA Lakers Game Used "Comeback" Sneakers (Teammate LOA)

From one of the true "miracle" seasons in sports history. In 1991, Magic Johnson retired from the game after contracting the HIV virus, a perceived death sentence at the time. In 1996, after a five year layoff he returned to the game as if he never left. But what he accomplished was more than just play the game. He acted as a role model and changed the world perception of this horrific disease. These sneakers are from that miracle season. White sneaks with black and purple trim, were custom made for the Magic Man and are Magic Johnson "MVP" models. They show light but 100% correct and DEFINITIVE USE making them something truly special. Magic would not have worn his shoes for more than a game or so, hence the wear is right and consistent. They come from an airtight source, teammate Corey Blount who testifies in his Letter of Authenticity that these sneakers were given to him personally by Magic Johnson himself. Corey and Magic played only played one season together, and a magical one, 1996. Magic Johnson has signed the right shoe in 7/10 black Sharpie, putting the final touches on this game worn masterpiece.
