In the NL Championship, they knocked off the Braves in six games. Four games later, the season came to an inglorious halt as they got swept in the World Series by the Yankees. This 14 karat gold ring has real diamonds encrusted in "SD" on top of a blue stone. "Padres National League Champions" encircles the blue stone. "1998" and "98-64" on one shank surrounding the Padres logo. Other shank has "Gwynn 19" and the National League trophy. This is identical to the ring that Tony Gwynn was awarded and has all of the proper stampings inside.
