Center Martin Straka was hitting his stride in the late 1990s culminating with career highs in his 2000-2001 term. The competitive year he slipped this sweater over his head, 1999-2000, was an impressive stepping stone (20 goals/39 assists) to the following year’s peak. Very stylish year for the Pens, this jersey shows moderate use amidst its dark colors (black, grey, and yellow), with some stick marks showing up on white breast of the Penguin on front and white on triple-layered tackle twill number “82” on the reverse. White and silver “NHL 2000” patch on right chest, with Assistant Captain’s “A” in triple-layer tackle twill on left. “Authentic ProPlayer” tag on collar with size “50” flag tag. A classic Penguins Straka jersey.
