2003 Florida Marlins World Series Championship Ring Timepiece
Spectacular bookend to the 2003 World Series Championship Marlins ring elsewhere in this auction in this similar-styled ring which doubles as a timepiece. From the collection of long time Marlins scout Orrin Freeman, this is the highly-desired Type "A" ring, inside stamped "Intergold 14K" and underneath engraved "Florida Marlins 4/14." The face reads World Champions around a Marlins logo jammed full of no less than 228 white diamonds, 13 rubies, and one teal diamond. The timepiece - which flips open on a hinge via a small diamond-hosting button - reads "2003 World Champions Marlins" around the team logo. Comes with original glass-top cherrywood display box with "Orrin Freeman" as well as "Florida Marlins 2003 World Series Champions" on the glass. As with its partner ring, these are pieces very rarely seen on the market - in Near Mint condition with immeasurable display value. Size 9.25. Weight: 119 grams.
