2008-09 Sidney Crosby Pittsburgh Penguins Game Worn Jersey
One Stanley Cup, one Art Ross Trophy, one Hart Trophy, and one Lester B. Pearson Award already adorn the mantle of Sidney Crosby’s trophy case. This video-matched jersey from last season’s Stanley Cup championship run was worn on October 5, 2008 as the Pittsburgh Penguins took on the Ottawa Senators in the NHL Premiere in Stockholm, Sweden. Crosby notched one assist in that 3-1 loss to the Senators, but this hard-to-find patched jersey from a Stanley Cup season is sure to be a cornerstone of a Hall of Fame collection. Reebok Edge 2.0 size 56 jersey proudly displays Crosby’s Captain’s “C” on the left chest and the NHL Premiere patch on the right chest. One sizable board burn created an un-repaired hole on the left sleeve. Another vertical board burn is evident on the lower front left side. Pittsburgh Penguins Stockholm set tag sewn into the back hem and the fight strap is signed by Equipment Manager Dana Heinze. All letters and numbers are sewn on in three-color fashion while Crosby’s name is sewn onto a name-length nameplate above his #87 on the back. Team LOA.
