Ali-Foreman Large On-Site Poster

Ali-Foreman Large On-Site Poster

Muhammad Ali fought George Foreman on October 30, 1974 in Kinshasa, Zaire. Given little chance, Ali knocked Foreman out in the 8th round to win the World Heavyweight Title for the second time. Ali employed a "rope-a-dope" strategy of covering up on the ropes and letting Foreman hit him until he tired. The strategy worked as an exhausted Foreman could not rise after being hit in the 8th round. Offered here is an original, on-site poster to this well-remembered event. The poster is paper and pictures Ali, Foreman and the President of Zaire, Joseph Mobutu, and measures 46" x70." The poster has been professionally linen-backed and features bold color. The date is on a piece of colored tape which was used to cover the original postponed date. The poster has had some restoration at the bottom right corner and along the borders, well outside the images and lettering.
