Babe Greets Lou on "Gehrig Day" Wire Photograph
Very famous photo of Ruth features Ruth greeting his ALS stricken teammate during the the ceremony at Yankee stadium, July 4th, 1939. Printed in 1939 by wire transmission, this incredible photo still features the original wire caption on back which is readable, but does contain some faded portions. Some tape residue and wrinkles in the border, but does not affect the photo portion. Verso is stamped "United Press International" and image measures 8x10".
