Scarce edition is signed on the flyleaf by Babe Ruth in MINT brown fountain pen ink. [It is interesting that the facing page also has a partial Babe Ruth signature in reverse mirror image from effective blotting. Hence it is nearly signed twice!] The gorgeous signature is rarely seen on this tome, in contrast to the Bob Considine bio, which is far more plentiful. Below is written "This is Number 384 of 1000 copies of Babe Ruth's Own Book of Baseball autographed by the author…G. Putnam & Sons." First edition (strong EX+) 1928 is 5.5x8.5" and is 301-pages in length. Cloth covers are incised in attractive gilt. Even comes with small piece of the original rare dustjacket.
