Original vintage photo snapped by one of the greatest baseball photographers of all time, Louis Van Oeyen. This one is meaningful on so many levels. Shown is Babe Ruth signing an autograph for the German fighter, Max Schmeling. This is pre-World War II, and still years before Schmeling would meet Joe Louis in the ring. Photo is EX-MT with Van Oeyen’s stamp on verso. Notes on the back filled out in pencil in the hand of Van Oeyen.
