Babe Ruth "Called Shot" Cardboard Advertising Sign

Babe Ruth "Called Shot" Cardboard Advertising Sign

Here is a tough to find 34" tall die-cut cardboard store display advertising Courtley Men's Toiletries produced in the 1940s, soon after or shortly before Babe Ruth's death in 1948. The ad pictures an interpretive painting by Robert O. Riggs of Babe Ruth's "called shot" in the 1932 World Series. The artist has dated the work '49 and apparently done as a tribute piece right after the Babe's death in 1948, it reads "A Great Moment In Masculinity." Has creasing with some slight fading, no easel and trimmed at bottom.
