Babe Ruth Phallic Bat Photograph
One of the most unusual and interesting Babe Ruth photographs ever offered for public sale. Never before seen photograph shows the Babe with bat between his legs like it was his penis. Personal photo that is a one-of-a-kind, he is shown by the Yankee dugout before a game posing for friend and teammate Ed Wells. First generation vintage image dates from Wells’ tenure with the Yankees, 1929-1932. In NRMT condition, the photo itself is 4.5x2.75”, and is framed to overall 21x17” in gallery style framing. The image was obtained directly from the Wells Estate several years back. The image is an interesting reference to the prodigious size of Ruth’s member which has been the subject of many a Sports Babylon.
