Babe Ruth Signed Communist Party "Pearl Harbor" Letter

Babe Ruth Signed Communist Party "Pearl Harbor" Letter

Letter to Babe Ruth c/o Samuel Goldwyn Pictures from Ernest Rymer of the International Workers Order. It is dated December 9, 1941, two days after the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor. On their illustrated stationery, they are asking Ruth for a message to the children of America to be printed in their magazine "Fraternal Outlook". Ruth has signed a note at the bottom in pencil: "Joe please see what you can do about this." Includes original return envelope from "G.H. Ruth" in NYC postmarked December 17th. It is addressed to Joe Bihler of Brooklyn asking him to accomplish this task. We wonder whether it ever ran? This controversial organization was abolished as subversive during McCarthyism. Signatures are Mint. Babe blacklisted?
