Babe Ruth’s Last Appearance Photo (8x10”)
Vintage photo is among the most significant of Babe Ruth photos. Taken on June 13, 1948 for the Babe’s last appearance in Yankee Stadium during the 25th anniversary of “The House that Ruth Built” when they retired his number. Picture shows Ruth getting dressed in New York Yankees uniform for the very last time. Painted on the locker just above his head in the photo is “Babe Ruth No. 3”. One month later the Babe passed away from cancer. Tiny crease to lower right corner, hardly worth mentioning. EX+.
