Baltimore Orioles Minor League Baseball Stadium on Fire (1946)
No one seems very concerned in this 1946 wire photo of a fire burning in the middle of baseball stadium bleachers. In fact, some of the onlookers appear downright happy. Apparently fans at the Baltimore Orioles minor league stadium thought they might get a new stadium if the current one burned, so they cheered the fire on! Originally a front captioned wire photo, the caption has been affixed to verso and there are small staple holes at each corner. This fascinating, 7.5 x 9.5" image would easily frame to NM-MT.
