Bobo Newsom Game Worn Brooklyn Dodgers Jersey

Bobo Newsom Game Worn Brooklyn Dodgers Jersey

Early 1940's Brooklyn Dodgers road flannel of Louis Norman Newsom, better known in the baseball world as "Bobo". The 211 game winner was most famous for changing teams 16 times in 21 seasons. Zippered front road jersey has "Brooklyn" across front in the bluest of blue felt. Wilson manufacturer and size 48 tags are in the collar above "Newsom" chain-stitched on white swatch. All-original uniform has #8 on the reverse. Dates to either 1942 or 1943, when Bobo wore that number for the Bums. Solitary jersey saved by the longtime Dodgers equipment manager is in terrific shape overall.
