Busch Stadium Opening Day 2005 Signed Commemorative Home Plate

Busch Stadium Opening Day 2005 Signed Commemorative Home Plate

This home plate was used for the first-pitch ceremonies prefacing the last Opening Day at Busch Stadium, on April 8, 2005, and then removed to be preserved without game damage. It’s a perfect symbolic memento of a ballpark that has seen so many great pitchers and hitters, as well as of the Cardinals’ final 81 home games - the course of which was charted that day with a thrilling 6-5 victory over the Philadelphia Phillies. Plate is imprinted with “Opening Day” in white and red lettering against a navy blue background and two red stars framed by the MLB logo above and “April 2005” in white on light blue on the bottom along with a baseball semi-swathed in a blue shadow. Logo appears in the center of the plate and it’s been signed by the Cardinals Players including Coaches. MLB hologram affixed. Minimal use makes for dazzling display appeal. <br>(Estimate $1,000 - $1,500)
