Opening Day 2005 Bases, Baseball and Rosin Bag

Outstanding lot of items from Opening Day, April 8, 2005 at Busch Stadium, when the Cardinals began defense of the National League pennant. Includes the actual bases from the game, with the first and third base bags imprinted “Opening Day” in white and red on a blue patterned background above “April 2005” in white on light blue atop a baseball semi-swathed in blue. MLB hologram on the top center over “Opening Day.” Second base from that day is imprinted with the Busch Stadium/redbird-on-a-bat logo against a fiery red background with “Busch Stadium” above it in red lettering against a white on navy banner, “Final Season” in white on navy, and “1966-2005” on bottom in navy on yellow. All bases have the “I Live for this” logo on the side with the “Final Season” logo beside it, and all show heavy game use in the form of cleat marks and caked-on soiling. Also included is an Official Opening Day baseball with the MLB hologram, also showing heavy use, and a resin bag from game, which is an athletic sock w/tape on both ends and filled with resin, with clear game use as well. <br>(Estimate $1,500 - $2,000)
