Busch Stadium Visiting Bullpen Pitching Rubber and Home Plate from 2004 Season

Busch Stadium Visiting Bullpen Pitching Rubber and Home Plate from 2004 Season

The fantastic use shown on the pitching rubber and home plate used in the visitors’ bullpen at Busch Stadium during the entire 2004 season, NLCS and World Series is an indicator of the Cardinals’ proficiency at the bat en route the season. Things surely got a little desperate for the visiting teams late in games when they found themselves needing fresh arms to stop Cardinals rallies. Clearly, many pairs of cleats tromped on and around the rubber and the plate, not to mention being used by Pedro Martinez and Derek Lowe to warm up (perhaps too well) for Games 3 and 4 of the World Series. 24.5 x 6 x 6” rubber-crowned and concrete filled, weighs approx. 75lbs. Plate is bordered by metal. The rubber and plate, one of two sets in the ‘pen, have both been authenticated by MLB and come with COAs from the St. Louis Cardinals. <br>(Estimate $3,000 - $5,000)
