Chicago White Sox Cap Collection (12)
This great collection of White Sox game caps spans the entire last half of the twentieth century. First, we have a late 1940s Spalding from the Ray Schalk collection - it was worn by him at some Old Timers functions. Next, a 1940s cap with a red "C" on the front has "7 1/4 "stitched in the leather head band. There is also a late 1950s by Spalding and a 1965 blue cap by Wilson with the number "5" under the brim. The next cap, a Wilson circa 1968, has "8" under the brim and was signed by Pete Ward. A red Wilson cap, circa 1972, was worn by "24," Tom Bradley. Another cap, circa 1976 by New Era, has "12" under the brim. There are two mid-1980s styles by New Era that are unused and three 1980s-90s New Era styles (one is a throwback) that are unused. All of the caps that are worn exhibit varying degrees of usage.
