Circa 1890 "Men's League" Bat with Red Stenciling and Painted Label
More closely resembling an axe handle than a baseball bat, this circa 1890s specimen is only slightly narrower at the handle than the barrel. Measuring 33" and weighing 31 oz., the barrel end, middle and top of the handle are stenciled with red paint, the center label is hand-painted with an oval and star in the middle with wording "Men's League" inside the oval. A truly solid piece of lumber, this vintage treasure is in EX condition.
