Circa 1915 Exceptional Connie Mack Photograph By George Grantham Bain

Circa 1915 Exceptional Connie Mack Photograph By George Grantham Bain

The genius behind the Philadelphia Athletics and one of the major reasons that baseball was propelled to the forefront of the consciousness of America. His extremely shrewd judgment of talent and his unbelievable penchant for business makes him one of the most important men in baseball history. This EX-MT photo (4 X 4-3/4”) was shot around 1919 and it is the finest photo of Mack we have ever seen. He’s in his signature straw hat and nattily dressed in bright white shirt, tie, and form fitting suit. His face just could not be any clearer and the look in his eyes makes him almost seem alive as you gaze at him.
