Circa 1929-30 Chicago Black Hawks Game Worn Jersey
One of the most incredible pro hockey sweaters we have ever unearthed. White wool with black stripes and cuffs. Black and magnificently detailed woven wool circular crest, in the center of the chest, reads in white letters, "Black Hawks Chicago" and has an Indian's head, in white, in the middle. Back has "11" in felt. Spalding tag sewn in bottom inside jersey. Condition of sweater just could not be improved upon. One hole on the front, one on the back and two on the right sleeve are all smaller than a dime. The holes are from game use, and not from moths. As fine a wool as you will ever find on any woolen piece in any sport. We believe that this jersey was worn by Tommy Cook in 1929 -30 when he led the Black Hawks in scoring. One rare sweater.
