Circa 1988 Wade Boggs Boston Red Sox Game Used Glove
It wasn't until the mid-90s with the New York Yankees that Wade Boggs had perfected his defense and earned consecutive AL Gold Glove awards. Prior to that, the third baseman known more for his hitting prowess used this professional model Franklin glove, which is a W.B.400 with "Pro Tanned Steerhide" stamped on the inside of the pinky. The mitt is well broken-in and shows plenty of use. Signed on the thumb, "Wade Boggs, Game Used '88, Boston." Boggs was a big endorser of Franklin gloves and used them along with the Rawlings brand.
