One of the most coveted publications sought by boxing collectors and historians is a set of "The Ring" (Magazine). The Ring, founded by Nat Fleischer, began its incredible run through the annals of modern boxing with its inaugural issue in February, 1922 and continues to this day. Offered here is a very seldom seen collection of bound Ring Magazines beginning with the inaugural issue of February, 1922 and running through 1987. The collection includes volumes professionally bound by The Ring and privately bound issues put together by the collector. The bound editions include 12 issues in each and are bound in either blue or black cloth covers. Editions professionally bound by The Ring include: 2/24-1/25, 2/25-1/26, 2/26-1/27, 2/27-1/28, 2/28-1/29, all editions beginning 2/30-1/44, 2/62-1/63, all editions beginning 2/64-1/70, 2/76-1/77 and 2/78-1/79. There are duplicate issues for 2/34-1/35 and 2/37-1/38. All other volumes have been bound privately with a duplicate issue for the year 1983. There are 69 bound editions in all. The conditions range from VG to EX. The first two years are about EX. This is the most complete run of bound editions as we have offered at public sale in years.
