Curt Flood's Cardinals 1968 Tour of Japan Photo Album

Curt Flood's Cardinals 1968 Tour of Japan Photo Album

This bulging album commemorating the St. Louis Cardinals' 1968 postseason tour of Japan was owned by outfielder Curt Flood, a major cog of the World Series champs (and later cause celebre in gaining player freedom). Red & gold on front & back covers with leaf patterns & gold braid on the spine. Reads "St. Louis Cardinals Goodwill Tour of Japan 1968." Dozens of photos inside show stadium scenes from games on the tour and sightseeing treks by the players' families, some with handwritten identifying notes apparently by Flood. 12 x 13" with some wear, fading and mild tattering on the covers, but photos & gold-tinted pages are nearly pristine.
