Dave Bancroft 1930 Tour of Cuba Presentational Photo Album
Originally from the Estate of HOFer Dave Bancroft. Leather cover imprinted “Souvenir of Exhibition Games Played in the Stadium Cerveza Tropical Havana, Cuba October 1930…Presented by Tropical…Julio Blanco Herrera…To Mr. Dave Bancroft.” Each page is blessed with a 6.5x4.5” photograph of a scene from the Tour: team posed on the ocean liner they came over on, several Havana stadium scenes, throwing out the first pitch, John McGraw in manager’s montage. There are several team photos including one in their major league uniforms (Giants, Yankees, Reds, Pirates, Brooklyn, Braves, and Red Sox). Players include Pie Traynor, very young Giants Carl Hubbell & Bill Terry, Paul Waner, Rabbit Maranville, Max Carey, & Dave Bancroft. 8.5x6”. EX+.
