David Cone "Perfect Game" Presentational Watch

David Cone "Perfect Game" Presentational Watch

The fan favorite owned repertoire of pitches comparable to any of baseball’s all-time great hurlers and was known for his steely nerves in big game situations. Winning followed him everywhere throughout his career, proven by his five World Series rings, though the height of his individual success came after nearly two decades in the Bigs. On July 17, 1999, against the Montreal Expos David pitched the 16th perfect game in the history of the sport. To mark Cone presented each member of the team there that day with this handsome Ebel Crono watch. The gold and silver tone time piece is personalized on its back surface with, “Don Zimmer-Perfect Game-July 18, 1999” and is housed in its original presentational box. The cherry stained stunner is lined in blue velvet and has a glass window on top that is etched, “New York Yankees-Perfect Game 7/18/99.” Its completed with a small gold plaque, engraved, “In Grateful Appreciation From David Cone.” Both items are Mint.
