Dempsey vs Carpentier Glass Slide Collection (21)
Georges Carpentier fought Jack Dempsey for the Heavyweight Title on July 2, 1921 in front of over 80,000 people at Boyle's Thirty Acres in Jersey City, New Jersey. Dempsey won the fight by stopping the smaller Carpentier in the 4th round. This was the first million-dollar gate in boxing history. Offered here is a group of 21 individual glass slides from this fight, produced by Excelsior Illustrating Company. The majority are fight scenes and are clean and clear, no cracks or breaks. Each slide is 3.25x4". These are seldom seen, especially in this quantity and quality.
