Dit Clapper Boston Bruins Sweater

Dit Clapper Boston Bruins Sweater

Standing over six-feet tall and tipping the scales at 200-pounds Dit was a physical specimen to say the least. Now match that with his extraordinary skill and determination and it is no wonder he became a legend in the sport. In only his sophomore season the young Clapper was united with Cooney Weiland and Dutch Gainor, later known as the “Dynamite Line”, and together they would deliver to Boston its first Stanley Cup. Following that victory he was presented with this handsome beige wool cardigan. Accented in brown and orange, the sweater owns an embroidered felt patch that reads, “Boston Bruins, World Champions-1928-29” on the chest. Manufactured by the “Horace Partridge Co.” it has remained in NRMT-Mint condition after more than seven decades. A remarkable item and unique part of hockey history from this immortal Hall of Famer.
