A beautiful collection of five of Don Budge’s personal Sterling silver trophies from the years before he turned pro (1932-36). Three are by International Sterling Silver Co., and two are by Wallace. All with affixed stickers from Steiff, who handled the finish. A few of these boast a slight golden patina from being vintage, and all are stamped Sterling. With nicely engraved dedications, the trophies include: 1. “1936 Pacific Coast Tennis Championship Men’s Double Winner.” Elegant ivy design on the handles and base with lid. This being the tallest of the offered trophies stands 12” tall. 2. “1934 S.F.T. Men’s Singles Runner Up Don Budge.” Plain design with handles, 8” tall. 3. “Golden Gate Tennis club, handicap Doubles, Feb. 1933, won by” (space left blank for name engraving - not completed). 8”. 4. Golden Gate Jr. Tennis Club Bay County doubles.” 6.5” tall cup. 5. California Tennis Championship, 1932. EX-MT to Near Mint condition.
